Biting a stone in sandwich costs Brit mum £3k dental work

A British woman spent three thousand pounds on getting her damaged teeth back in form after she accidentally chewed a stone in a 2.20-pound sandwich.

Karen Addy thought chewed the stone in her sandwich that contained organic carrot, hummus, rocket and alfalfa sarnie.

The crunchy bite damaged her tooth and led to an abscess.

Karen, of Holmfirth, West Yorks, had to take painkillers and antibiotics to decrease her pain.

She had to get the tooth removed with four more complex dental procedures including a bone graft and titanium implants.

Karen endured the toothache for more than three years before finally winning enough money to pay for the treatment from sandwich makers Fresh Naturally Organic.

"It has been a stressful ordeal but I can finally eat apples again. I had forgotten what they tasted like," The Sun quoted Karen as saying. (ANI)
