Conroy to buy Finnish gold assets

Exploration company Conroy Diamonds & Gold is planning to acquire the Finnish gold exploration assets of Conroy plc for €1m worth of shares.

The assets include nine exploration licences held by a subsidiary of Conroy plc, which has built up an extensive database on the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt area of Finland.

Conroy Diamonds & Gold chairman Professor Richard Conroy is the main shareholder in Conroy plc and other directors are shareholders in both companies. This means an EGM will be held on November 1 to consider the deal.
